For long-distance running and multi-sport events, End Result offers live results including email and text messaging. There are two forms of this service:
pre-race sign-up - This is the standard model in use by most events. Before the race interested people can search the list of registered participants and choose the participant(s) they want to track on race day. During the race, when a participant crosses a live timing location, everyone who is tracking that participant will receive an SMS text message or email.
no sign-up - In this model End Result provides a short code (like a short phone number) to which anyone can text a bib number. End Result's servers will automatically reply with all available timing information for the texted bib number.
Pricing
End Result does not charge message recipients or race participants. Billing arrangements are made with event organizers directly. Standard / other charges from your cellular provider may apply.

Opt-In / Opt-Out
Every event utilizing End Result's tracking program will have its own sign-up page.
If you are participating in End Result's tracking program for a particular event, you can opt-out of receiving further messages by visiting that event's tracking sign-up page, or by responding to an End Result text message with the word STOP.
