In 1999, End Result established OnlineRaceResults.com as a home for results for End Result-timed events. Shortly thereafter, the service was opened to other timers. As of June 2008, OnlineRaceResults.com hosts results for more than 2-million race participants, and averages over 2-million page views from 200,000 absolutely unique visitors every month.
Media Access
The OnlineRaceResults.com media site provides customizable downloads to members of the media, and allows media outlets to access data without relying on timing crew or event directors. The media site also allows running clubs and events with qualification requirements to compile results from events whose results are posted to OnlineRaceResults.com.
Infrastructure
In hosting results for some of the largest and most prestigious races in the United States, End Result has gained rare experience in building a high-availability, responsive interface. The standard OnlineRaceResults.com interface is served through a dedicated load balancer, and hosted on a cluster of several dedicated servers in a world-class data center. For large events with special availability requirements, the OnlineRaceResults.com engine can be placed on a one-event dedicated cluster which scales in real-time to handle increased traffic.
